Presentation
Your adventure begins where the Ardèche enters the grandiose gorges whose cliffs reach almost 300 meters high. You will be amazed by the striking beauty of this nature reserve that we strive to keep wild.
With 5 hours of paddling, you enjoy a long descent of the Ardèche by canoe. A good physical condition and sun protection in your pocket, you are ready to discover the geological wonders, the preserved flora and fauna of the site.
On your canoe, the sensations are intense.

Description
As its name suggests, this 24km course is a delight for all nature lovers.
Let’s go for 5 hours of paddling in a breathtaking natural setting. To make the most of your adventure, we advise you to leave as early as possible.
This route is for the day (departure between 8:00 am and 10:30 am for a return between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm); sunscreen and good physical condition are therefore required.

Your meeting point is at the premises of La Vernède, route des gorges in Vallon Pont d´Arc. For the 24km course, we offer fixed departure times: 8:30 am – 9:00 am – 9:30 am – 10:00 am – 10:30 am.
RECALL. For this day in the sun, plan:
Water (min. 1.5L / person) and enough food for your day – there is no restaurant or snack on the course;
Sun protection (creams, long clothes, caps, glasses, etc.).
Preparation before starting:
Our teams provide you with the equipment you need for your activity (waterproof containers, life jackets, etc.);
you prepare (showers and toilets available on site) and you equip yourself;
you attend a short briefing explaining the course and its particular points, as well as a quick introduction to paddle technique.
You are now ready to go down the Ardèche by canoe!
Our shuttles drop you off at the entrance to the majestic nature reserve to get you into the water.
Descent
On this 24km course, you will have to paddle about 5 hours (not counting the breaks).
Managing your time is therefore a key point of this free activity. We recommend that you complete most of the route in the morning, before your lunch break. The Cathedral Rock area is an ideal place to organize your picnic and enjoy swimming.
arrival & return
Arrival is at the Sauze landing stage, from 3:00 p.m. and until 5:00 p.m.
Our shuttles are waiting for you to take you back to the Vallon-Pont-d’Arc pier, where you left your vehicle.
We are unable to tell you the exact waiting time before your return, although we will make sure that it is as short as possible.
